Aviation Week publishes “Trump’s Unremarkable Defense Playbook”, a new commentary by Steve Grundman

Writing in the Up Front column of Aviation Week & Space Technology, Steve Grundman revisits “signposts and metrics” of change in defense policy he’d called out on Inauguration Day to gauge the magnitude and direction of change that might emerge with the advent of the Trump Administration. After considering Trump’s impact on force posture, the defense budget, and acquisition management over 2017, Grundman concludes, “However ironic and perhaps welcome, team Trump turned in an unremarkable year for defense posture.”
